Our Wedding

We met at work six years ago — Margherita was the new kid in sales, and Jordann was the cranky veteran who’d seen it all. Thanks to the pandemic, we didn't actually meet in person for over a year and a half. When we finally did, it was over homemade pizza in Jordann’s kitchen. Margherita had no idea it was a date — and Jordann wasn’t totally sure either — but a few weekends in a row made things pretty clear. We’ve now been together for 5 1/2 years and have built a life full of laughter, chaos, and deeply mismatched stress levels. Some of our favorite memories include: watching Argentina win the World Cup with a crowd of screaming locals in Tamarindo (though Margherita still wishes it had been Italy), seeing Brandi Carlile at Red Rocks under the stars, and adventuring through Europe — from soccer matches in Germany to refusing to swim in the clearest water Italy has to offer (Margherita, looking at you). We rent boats on nearly every vacation — whether it’s a lake, a sea, or something barely navigable — and it’s become one of our favorite ways to explore the world together. And while Margherita is the Italian in the relationship, it’s Jordann — the Texan — who keeps her up to date on Serie A standings and Napoli drama. Our dynamic is...balanced, in our own way. Margherita (a.k.a. “Mission Marg”) is always on the move, living without anxiety and finishing everything she starts. Jordann is more Type B, deeply anxious, probably has undiagnosed ADD, and is most at peace when everyone’s just chilling on the couch. We push each other — Margherita gets Jordann to leap; Jordann gets Margherita to sit down. It’s also widely known that Jordann is not the love of Margherita’s life — that title belongs to Jordann’s dog, Cash. But Jordann comes in a close second, especially when You and Me on the Rock plays. And while Margherita never wanted dogs, she has spoiled both Cash and Meatball rotten from day one. She's now a full-blown member of the pack. As for the proposal... well, it didn’t really happen. Margherita doesn’t do grand gestures — once she’s made a decision, she’s all in. So instead of a ring-in-a-cake moment, we found ourselves at Diamonds Direct (wrong location, thanks to Jordann). Thankfully, our dear friend — and now officiant — Shandra surprised us with champagne and beautiful glasses and made the moment unforgettable. We were supposed to say ‘see you in Tamarindo’ in 2027, but life has a funny way of changing things. So, get ready for the beaches, the casinos, and a whole lot of fun — because we’ll be saying ‘I do’ in Aruba! We can’t wait for what’s next — the marriage, the memories, the dancing, and yes, the boat rentals. So Mangia Y'all - we'll see you in Aruba in 2026!

Our Story

Where to Stay We are so excited to celebrate with you in Aruba! We will be hosting our wedding events at the Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort Spa and Casino. While we’d love for everyone to stay on-site with us, we have a very limited number of rooms in our initial block. To ensure we can accommodate as many of you as possible without overcommitting, we are managing the block personally. Staying at the Hyatt Regency: If you’re interested in staying at the Hyatt, please reach out to Margherita or Jordann via text before booking. Availability: We currently have a few rooms left in our current block.Next Steps: Send us a quick text! We can provide you with the direct booking links and help secure your room as we add more to the block based on interest. Other Nearby OptionsAruba is a small, friendly, and very accessible island. If the Hyatt is fully booked or if you're looking for a different price point, there are fantastic options just steps away. Pro-Tip: All beaches in Aruba are public. Even if you stay elsewhere, you can join us on the sand at the Hyatt beach all day long! 1. Nearby HotelsThe Hyatt is located in the "High-Rise" hotel district. These hotels are all within a 5–10 minute walk or a very short cab ride:The Marriott Aruba Resort: Typically $600–$900/night in December. High-end with great amenities.Holiday Inn Resort Aruba: Typically $350–$500/night in December. A great, reliable mid-range option right on the beach.Courtyard by Marriott: Often a bit more budget-friendly (~$300/night) and just a short walk across the street from the beach. 2. AirBnB &amp; Vacation RentalsFor the "most bang for your budget," we highly recommend checking AirBnB or VRBO. There are many condos and villas in the Noord or Palm Beach area that include:Private pools and full kitchens.Walking distance (5–15 mins) to the Hyatt and the beach. Grocery Stores: There are excellent grocery stores nearby (like Super Food Plaza or Ling &amp; Sons) where you can stock up on snacks and drinks to save on dining costs. Getting Around Walking: If you stay in the Palm Beach area, most things are walkable.Taxis: Taxis are safe, reliable, and use government-regulated flat rates (no meters!). You can get almost anywhere in the hotel zone within 10 minutes for a small fee. Public Beach Access: Feel free to grab a cab, head to the Hyatt, and meet us by the water!

Accommodations

Bold, formal, and fabulous - all the drama. ✨ Bring your best look and be ready to party under the stars. ✨ For the women: Wear your favorite long dresses or gowns. Think bright colors, statement prints, fringe, florals, sequins, or sparkle! Don't be afraid to be over the top and truly shine. For the men: Suit required. Tie optional. This is a formal event, but you don't need to sweat your butt off. Consider linen suits in fun colors, seersucker, or go bold with a vibrant shirt under your suit jacket. Cocktail hour is on the beach, so please choose weather-appropriate fabrics and footwear. No one loves sinking stilettos or sweating in heavy wool, so embrace those breathable materials! ✅  Pre-Flight Requirements for Travel  ✅

Passport: A valid passport (that does not expire within 6 months of travel date) is required to fly internationally. Please be aware that passports may take a few months to be processed if applying for the first time or renewing. Visa: U.S. Citizens do not need a visa for short visits on the island. Travelers will need to go through customs and immigration, where questions will be asked regarding travel plans, accommodation, and duration of stay. Embarkation/Disembarkation (ED) Card is required for entry into Aruba. This can only be done SEVEN (7) days before entering Aruba. The ED card must be presented at check-in before your flight, your boarding pass will receive a check mark which will be required to board your flight to Aruba. The official currency in Aruba is the Aruban Florin. However, currency exchange is not necessary. USD is widely accepted on the island. Many businesses accept credit cards and debit cards. However, it is always a good idea to carry cash, especially for taxi rides.

💧 Water Advisory 💧

In Aruba, the tap water is perfectly safe to drink and is of high quality, so there's no need to buy bottled water unless you prefer it.

🇦🇼 Languages Spoken 🇦🇼

The official languages of Aruba are Dutch and Papiamento, a mix of Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, English, and African languages. Most Arubans speak English and Spanish, especially in tourist areas.

Aruba in May is warm and sunny, with average daytime temperatures around 86–90°F (30–32°C) and nighttime temperatures around 78°F (26°C). It’s one of the driest months, with little rainfall and low humidity thanks to the constant trade winds. The ocean is warm, around 81°F (27°C), making it great for swimming and water activities. May is outside the hurricane season, so the weather is generally stable. Aruba is also outside the hurricane belt, so there’s little risk of major storms. The island’s trade winds provide a steady breeze, keeping things comfortable.

Taxis are the most accessible and reliable form of transportation for tourists on the island. Taxi drivers accept US dollars in cash. Very few accept credit card.
